On Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2, our neighbors at 61 Local (61 Bergen St.) are hosting a beer pairing gala to benefit Slice, a non-profit literary magazine dedicated to supporting emerging authors. Sixpoint Craft Ales head brewer Ian McConnell and local food guru Joe Scalora have crafted a four-course autumnal menu paired with four rare Sixpoint brews to bring in the season. Join our community and local food artisans for this unique fundraiser, and a sneak peek at 61 Local’s space before it opens later this year. All proceeds will support the print and publication of Slice, and will help new writers have their voices heard.
Come for dinner, then stay for drink specials at the bar. Sixpoint has donated beers from their limited inventory that will be on tap at a special discount exclusively for this event.
