Bennington Roadshow

Distinguished essayist Phillip Lopate and nine graduates of Bennington College’s MFA program in Creative Writing, will hear their writing. Wine and book sales will follow. The event is part of an evolving cross-country roadshow of readings by the community of writers from the Bennington program.


Phillip Lopate is famous for his witty, evocative, and insightful writings on New York, literature, life, and movies. His books include BachelorhoodAgainst Joie de Vivre, and Portrait of My Body. His many awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship, National Endowment for the Arts and New York Foundation for the Arts grants.

Other readers: Willa Carroll, Ken Harvey, Jennifer Acker, V. Hansmann, Lisa Alexander, Anne Decker, Julia Lichtblau, Alex Dawson, and Elizabeth Arnold.
