This exhibition features work Kevin made recently by tearing paper by hand. The pieces here are made to satisfy the artist’s curiosity & interests with the possibility of absorbing aspects into the books he makes. Inspired by interests in music, literature & film the results are bold & colorful & fun artworks with an emphasis on texture.
Kevin Waldron makes children’s books in The Invisible Dog studios. He has been published by Simon & Schuster, Templar Publishing, Walker Books, Phaidon Press. His latest book, written by Michael Rosen, is called Chocolate Cake. It will be published this October by Puffin. Born in Dublin, Waldron moved to London before making New York his home in 2009.
