Laura Schneider


Laura Schneider has extensively researched the formation of a self, from neurological, psychological, and philosophical perspectives. She pursues this research in tandem with her interdisciplinary art practice and her role as an educator. Schneider has worked with youth in the juvenile justice system for many years, facilitating therapeutic art sessions in lock up sites, probation centers, and community centers. She holds a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Art from City College and a Master’s in Art Education from New York University. Before joining the Invisible Dog community, Schneider enjoyed residencies with Brooklyn Art Space (2012) and Picture Berlin in Berlin, Germany (2014).
