Artist Conversation

the-invisibile-dog-artist-conversations.jpeg

Artcards will launch “Artist Conversations” with an artist and curator roundtable discussion and performances. A select panel of artists and curators will examine today’s role of the internet as a tool for independent curators and artist-run collectives and the changing role of the gallery in an increasingly internet-dependent society. Benefits and challenges of the internet’s increasing role in the art community will also be discussed. The evening will launch with a pyrotechnic performance by Jesse Boardman Kauppila, followed by a short remixed/remediated/re-imagined homage to Dan Graham live act by G. Douglas Barrett. The panel discussion will be followed by a performance by sound artist Aki Onda presenting his analog soundscapes of exotic memories and field recordings.
