Artists Talk

artists-talk.jpeg

Please join us for a panel discussion with Steven Ladd and William Ladd, New York based artists and brothers, and Danielle Durchslag and Ryan Frank of Assembly Required, to discuss their respective projects Chapel and A Wandering Sukkah. The Ladd brothers were raised in a Catholic family and with Chapel have created a free-standing Confessional where expressions of sins and good deeds are welcome. Assembly Required used the Jewish festival of Sukkot to inspire A Wandering Sukkah, a mobile fine art sukkah they toured throughout NYC on the back of a pick up truck. Both projects investigate religious ritual through interactive installations, and are presented this fall at The Invisible Dog Art Center Center. The discussion will be moderated by John Silvis, Brooklyn based artist, curator and co-director of Outlet Fine Art.
