THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS

Conceptual artist Anne Mourier strongly believes that “Taking Care” is important and may possibly be the only way to mend our broken society: “Taking Care” of our planet, “Taking Care” of things instead of replacing them, “Taking Care” of each other.

Mourier, in collaboration with Lucien Chef Ambition, is proposing to do just that, like a parenthesis, the time of a dinner with 100% organic products of the season, soft music, a white tea, and much more.

For the 4th edition of Taking Care Dinner, the menu will be inspired by “Spring", a word for a season but also the origin or the source of every living creature: water

Saving over 95 % of the water used by traditional agriculture to grow herbs and salads is the daily challenge of Bowery Farming, with whom we start a new partnership. You will taste some of their extraordinary products.

The number of seats are limited, only 12 seats per dinner available. To receive your invitation and reserve your seats, please email chef@lasalleamanger.org

Anne Mourier started training for what she does as an artist when she was a little girl by taking care of others in the confinement of home.

She developed her senses through the smell of the Marseille soap and lavender during laundry, her touch and attention to detail through long sessions of embroidery or knitting on Sundays, her appreciation for colors through pairing dishes and napkins.

Then she took care of three children for 20 years.

When they left home, she reflected on her experience and her immersion in motherhood and realized that the world of careers and materialistic goals didn’t recognize its value.  This struck her as an imbalance in our culture.

Her work had been taking care, and “home” was going to become her palette.  She wanted to remind the world of the beauty found in a delicate pile of folded linen, in an early mending school sample; in communing instead of communicating; in taking care of each other and allowing that idea to permeate everything and reconnect us with our environment.

The world is missing a mother.  It is the Vesica Piscis—the marriage of the triangle and the circle.  To her, and according to the principle “as above, so below”, this balance is sacred and what we call harmony and beauty.
