For their third collaborative project, Artists Athena Malloy and Connor Voss will set foot on 51 Bergen for a two-week residency titled Deep #3. They will begin the intermediate stage of constructing an evening-length production, which will be performed at the Invisible Dog in Spring 2021.
"Our inquiry into arousal and a heightened environment addresses numbness in our modern society. This numbness manifests in kinesthetic and somatic armoring, lack of connection with ourselves and others and subduing of a sharp consciousness and presence of life force. We find that arousal and heightened environment create an opportunity for enhanced physical health and sensation, greater self-knowledge, and better understanding of our relationships and social formations." – Athena Malloy and Connor Voss.
About Athena Malloy
Athena Malloy has had her work presented at Here, Movement Research at Judson Church, The Kitchen, Joyce SoHo, P.S. 122, Dixon Place, 92nd St. Y, and Next Stage. She taught at the Susan Klein School, DNA, SUNY Purchase, and the Trisha Brown studio. In 2003, she won a Bessie Award for her performances in RoseAnne Spradlin’s under/world. She is presently dancing with Vicky Shick and Walter Dundervill. She's had a healing arts practice in Brooklyn for over twenty years.

About Connor Voss
Connor Voss has performed for Kota Yamazaki, RoseAnne Spradlin, Heather Kravas, Juliana May, Mina Nishimura, Neil Greenberg, PearsonWidrig, Raja Kelly, Anna Azrieli, and Miguel Gutierrez. He’s costumed for Spradlin, PearsonWidrig, Azrieli, and Gutierrez and teaches the Feldenkrais Method.
