Lead by Maya Ciarrocchi and Kris Grey, Gender / Power is a collaborative working methodology that includes performance, video installation, and workshops to directly engage with marginalized communities in order to address social justice issues around authority and gender.

During this one-week session, Gender / Power builds a safe-space workshop using specifically designed vocabulary that prompts individuals to ask questions about how they experience power and authority based on the perceptions of their gender. Participant’s words and gestures are gathered and braided into a shared narrative that is delivered back to the community during a final live performance event and discussion.
