TheaterMatters: An Artist and Critics Review Panel

the-invisble-dog-theatermatters

TheaterMatters, the unique live-theater-review series curated and moderated by Hunter College Theater Professor Jonathan Kalb, continues at The Invisible Dog!

A one-of-a-kind event in NYC, TheaterMatters brings together professional critics and practicing theater artists for incomparably smart, passionate, in-depth discussions of current New York City theater productions in front of a live audience. TheaterMatters is the only forum where critics and artists collaborate on serious critique of new work, and the only vehicle for criticism practiced as a live, communal event. The panels include Q&A with the audience and are recorded for web posting.

The May 13 panel is:
Laura Collins-Hughes (theater critic, The New York Times)
Michael Rogers (celebrated actor in roles from God to Dracula)
Marc Robinson (Yale drama professor, award-winning author of The American Play)

. . . will discuss these plays, with Jonathan Kalb as moderator and host:
Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, By Taylor Mac — a Broadway production at The Booth Theatre
Ink, by James Graham — a Broadway production at The Samuel Friedman Theatre
