The Invisible Dog and Eat Offbeat are thrilled to welcome Moroccan Chef Rkia for a special Tagine lunch at Atelier Jolie, as part of New York Arab Festival.
Chef Rkia discovered her love for cooking in her mom's kitchen in Rabat, Morocco. She began her professional journey in Qatar, working at the Qatari Ambassador's residence. Then, she travelled and cooked in South Korea, India, France and Thailand. Eventually, she settled in Queens, NY, where she now works as a chef for Eat Offbeat and other establishments. She blends her Moroccan roots with global influences to create flavorful dishes that reflect her culinary journey. At Eat Offbeat, she has manned a Tagine station many times, to the delight of the guests!
Eat Offbeat is a team of refugees and immigrants with an unparalleled passion for the craft of cooking. Eat Offbeat offers catering all across NYC as well as a restaurant in Chelsea Market and a café at Atelier Jolie in NOHO, featuring cuisines from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Ghana, Morocco and Venezuela.
