With A Time of Spring, Thierry Thieû Niang creates a platform where old and young, amateur and professional, text and movement can mix fluidly to tell the story of The Rite of Spring’s infamous opening as told in the diaries of its choreographer, Vaslav Nijinsky. A professional actor will read selections from the diaries. The second half of the performance will be a dance piece, inspired by both Nijinsky’s choreography and the themes of The Rite.
