Odalisque is a performance by Peter Clough in which he reimagines the classical reclining nude as a gender non-conforming queer bondage submissive. Sculpture, projection, story-telling, durational bondage, and original music come together in an immersive environment that complicates power relations between sub and Dom, viewer and performer, subject and object.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Music and Theater Arts (MTA) presents the Spring Theater Arts production of COLLISION SHOP – an online multimedia exhibit capturing the human beings on the planet right now. Brought to life by a diverse multidisciplinary team of students and professionals and facilitated by New York dance artist and MIT lecturer Dan Safer, the production emerged in response to a call for intimate video self-portraits and is a meditation on the need for human connection and search for joy.

Following-up on their most recent collaboration, Static Apnea 2020, the american vicarious and The Invisible Dog Art Center proudly present the world premiere of Negative Liberty / Positive Liberty, a socially distanced performance installation exploring Isaiah Berlin’s historic 1958 lecture: Two Concepts of Liberty: Negative & Positive.

For this public exhibition I invite you to join me in appreciating these artists and enter into the world I typically share with my partner and a few friends. In doing so, I hope to rebuild some of the social connections that we have been deprived of for far too long.

Starting August 24, 2020, la Salle A Manger moves into the Garden of the Invisible Dog.

The garden of the Invisible Dog is about 2,000 square feet, with trees, plants, flowers, a little fountain. A secret oasis in the center of Brooklyn.

With this outdoor space to guarantee your safety, Lucien Chef Ambition offers luncheons or dinners on socially-distanced tables around the garden, with the same quality and creativity as usual.

Earth needs healing. We need healing. Our connection to the earth needs healing. Anne Mourier is proposing to wash and massage your feet in warm water (another symbol associated with the Feminine) and Marseille soap in a compassionate gesture. She would like to discuss your feminine side, taking care and our relation to Earth with you.

CLOSET WORKS is a monthly Theater in Quarantine (TiQ) performance lab of short dance-based work featuring choreographer Katie Rose McLaughlin and special guest artists. Presented by the Invisible Dog Art Center with additional support from Mamie Kanfer and Justin Stewart, CLOSET WORKS is dedicated to creating work that embraces the architecturally imposed constraints that have defined this current moment of unprecedented isolation and unrest.

One audience member, surrounded by a tunnel of blue light, descends towards a single performer behind a wall of glass. In a 9 minute and 2 second performance–the female record for static apnea–this performative installation explores how far one might be willing to go to save a life.

Brothers Steven and William Ladd have been working with inmates in the NYC Department of Corrections for the past nine years as part of their art practice. Their experiences have been humbling, emotional and an incredible way to connect with inmates. “No one’s ever cared about me enough to have a conversation like this,” said one inmate during an interaction. The Other Side is an exhibition of artworks inspired by moments like this.
